St. Benedict Ndanda Referral Hospital is well known in the whole Southern part of Tanzania. It is a faith-based organisation and part of the apostolic activities of Ndanda Abbey.
Our aim is to provide quality health care services to all patients, irrespective of faith and socio-economical status.

Our team consists of 345 workers, comprising 15 specialists and superspecialists, 15 Medical Doctors (MD), 3 Assistant Medical Doctors (AMO), 22 Intern Doctors and 120 nurses (2023). Patients come from regions as far as Mozambique, Dar es Salaam or Zanzibar. For inpatients we provide 300 official beds in 12 wards. Per year, more than 80.000 patients are treated as outpatients and more than 7.000 patients as inpatients.

We offer basic and specialized services using modern methods and equipment. Our laboratory is well equipped and accredited with 5 stars. We have well equipped ICU, NICU and dialysis department with 10 dialysis machines. CT-Scan, digital x-ray, laparoscopy, video-endoscopy and high-end ultrasound machines are in use. Our staff is well-trained and highly motivated to offer optimal services.
